On the occasion of New Year, we, the members of the building, organize a picnic together according to our limited budget. This year too, this picnic has been organized, although the picnic was supposed to be held on December 31st, but due to several obstacles, the date of this picnic was finally fixed on the 2nd. On the day of the picnic, all the girls of our building, especially the girls, finish their work and get busy with the picnic. Although the boys help in the decoration of the roof (the event will be held on the roof).

After offering Asr prayers, everyone in the building, including me, goes to the roof to organize a picnic. First, we wash and cut all the ingredients needed for cooking. Because if everything is cut and washed, it will take less time to cook. Through the rooftop picnic, we all cook together and talk, which seems to be the most enjoyable for us. Not only does this increase the friendship between everyone living in the same building, but we can also spend some time in our own way through this picnic celebration.

The most difficult task of today's picnic is lighting the fire in the clay stove. Although we let the stove and the wood dry in the sun all day yesterday, we still had a hard time lighting the fire. After a lot of effort, we finally managed to light the fire in the clay stove. But when the fire started, we were all very happy and we all managed to win the task of lighting the stove together.

Today, our picnic menu included khichuri, chicken, eggplant fry and coriander leaves stuffed. My friend and I made the coriander leaves stuffed as a surprise item for everyone. Everyone really appreciated the taste of the coriander stuffed vegetables. Moreover, adding a little spicy stuffing to the khichuri makes the khichuri taste even better. Every dish at the picnic was very delicious. Every member of the building attended the picnic with great sincerity and gave their utmost effort to make the picnic enjoyable and smooth.

After finishing the picnic, a big surprise was waiting for all of us. On December 31st, it was the birthday of one of our brothers on the sixth floor of our building. Since we could not celebrate the picnic on December 31st, Sharmila Banik thought of postponing her father's birthday and celebrating it on January 2nd. After finishing the picnic, we all wished Dada a happy birthday. Although the children enjoyed the birthday celebration more than us. On his behalf, Dada made everyone at our picnic happy by giving them sweet curd.
It was almost midnight while celebrating the birthday and picnic, so we all cleaned up the roof as much as possible and went home. With the expectation that we will organize a bigger picnic next year. We finished the picnic like today. Everyone kept saying one thing, that before having a picnic next year, we will dry the stove and wood in the sun for at least five to seven days. So that we don't have to go through so much hassle to light the fire..
