Potential Solutions To Our Pressing Challenges In Ghana - Accessible Drinkable Water
Hello everyone,
Another very pressing challenge we ought to tackle as a society is the issue of the accessibility of drinkable water in various communities. This has been a serious issue for remote areas especially in the the various regions where there is high rate of poverty. In these areas, it is practically impossible for the Government to pump water to every locality with the dam.
Thus, there is a serious need to look at other methods. The lack of safe drinkable water for these communities has led to the inhabitants of these communities resorting to lakes, streams and ponds as their source of water.
Of course, these water bodies are also being utilized by the various animals that breed in the area, and other farmers who have farmlands in the vicinity. Thus, there are various agents of contamination for these water bodies, making them unsafe for consumption.
In these communities, there must be at least one mechanized water source for the community. This will serve as their water provider for the future. Currently, the most practical form of this is that of the mechanized boreholes we have in place. So a more suitable solution will be the provision of these boreholes in areas without access to drinkable water.
There will surely be measures in place to ensure that the water quality is at its highest level. This will change lots of lives in many parts of the country.
Thank you. s
