Potential Solutions To Our Pressing Challenges In Ghana - Easing Up Traffic In Our Regions
Hello everyone,
One of the many headaches facing our country is the intense traffic we face in the administration of our day to day activities. This is a serious menace as it tends to drain lots of our precious time and resources. But what if this problem could be solved?
Indeed, if we could deal with traffic, our lives would be a lot easier with more time to spare in reaching places. It is almost as if we can never avoid it especially in bigger towns and cities. But something must be done.
If you visit less populated regions in the country such as the upper and northern regions, you will find that there is little to no traffic there. This clearly depicts that less populations could be the key. So how do we limit mass population in these other regions? The answer is simple, swifter transportation.
Most people are only in crowded places because that is where their jobs are situated. But they would probably prefer to live in their preferred locations if there were easier means of transport, for instance by train. Unfortunately, we haven't seen a very operational train in our country in quite a while.
Either way, this proves that more transport options must be brought forth. People should be encouraged to use means such as public transports or do carpools so that it will limit the amount of vehicles on the road.
Commercial vehicles are also known to be a root cause of traffic such as trotro and taxis. There must be stringent rules on the way they park, how they pick customers, and so on. This should massively reduce traffic too.
I think the implementation of these rules would go a long way to help ease our traffic and make commuting so much easier.
