Mystical Cave

Location: Sitio Boso-Boso, Brgy. San Jose, Antipolo, Rizal, Philippines

It is a well-known cave in Antipolo because of its incredible rock formations. There are a lot of rock formations about Catholic statues. The caretakers / locals who lives there maintained the natural look of the cave.

Inday Nelly was the one who discovered the cave in the year 1970. The locals said that she travelled the country looking for the cave because she dreamt of it when she was young.

Many people says that the dripping water inside the cave is holy because it can heal illnesses. The water dropped on the head 3x while we were exploring, the water is cold just like the water that you put inside the fridge.

The cave is 8 storey deep but only the 1st floor is allowed to be explored.

If you are adventurous, I recommend the place. The cave is not only for explorers but also for the religious people.

This is one of the places that I and my husband-to-be @jeffsamson went for a motorcycle themed Visita Iglesia 2017.

You could also check the other places we visited during the Lenten season 2017:

Travel tips and info:

  1. Bring your own flashlights / headlamps - It is very dark inside. Using the flashlight of your mobile phone gives a little light. Some parts inside the cave is slippery, so be careful.
  2. Bring your own vehicle - the place is quite difficult to find since the are no signages along the way, though using waze/google map helps.
  3. If you are planning on using public transportation, better ask the tricycle driver to wait for you since it is not the usual route of jeepneys / tricycles.
  4. Don't go on your own - The locals said that there are a lot of tourist who are lost inside the cave since they go on their own. There are many local tour guides (no fixed amount on their rates) that could accompany you inside the cave.
  5. Visit the place during Lenten season - just for the safety reason and many people will be with you.
  6. Bring your own water - though there are many vendors outside, you'll gonna need to refill you body fluids since you will go up the mountain to reach the cave entrance.

Yes, maa-amaze ka sa rock formations kasi very detailed. Halatang natural caused at hindi man-made. :)

Nice cave, Is it a wet cave or a dry Cave??

Hi @migztaraki, if literally speaking, it is a dry cave since it only have rocks formations and the dripping waters might be because of the moist. Sorry I'm not familiar and knowledgeable with what kind of cave it is but I'll research about it. 🙂

Thanks for the info.. since you enjoy caves... pls check my post about aran cave... Its a must visit place... im sure your gonna like it...thanks
