And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Romans 8:28

In my walk with the Lord, when there were very tough moments, remembering that He works all things for good has been such a comfort. We may have to pass through many refining fires, but as long as we love Him and are called according to His purpose, and allow Him to do His good work in us, all will be well. Not only will it be well, but He ultimately works it for some kind of good - sometimes far more magnificent than we could imagine. Pain becomes healing, brokenness becomes restoration, and the Lord can use those experiences to shape us into compassionate people who can in turn show the love of Christ to a lost and dying world who needs Him.
