A Philemon Of This Time
Philemon, a biblical character, called by the apostle Paul: "beloved Philemon", was a cooperative man, a kind person who offered hospitality, helpful, in his house Christians gathered, a man to whom the apostle Paul recognized his love and faith towards Jesus, a man of whom a very beautiful mention is made in the bible, because he was full of virtues that only the love of God can develop.
A story that teaches us and leaves us a great learning of the beautiful feelings that we can awaken in others thanks to our merciful behavior, it also teaches us what God's love can do, the forgiveness that we can grant only through his love and that love can only be in us if we make Jesus the Lord of our lives.
Through Philemon the bible says that the hearts of the saints were formed, what a beautiful thing this description is, and that is why this man should be an example for all those who wish to follow and imitate the way of Jesus.
Let us be a Philemon in these times, when there is so much need in the world, so much pain, so much desire to hear that something can change our reality, let us be more compassionate, more merciful, people at the service of God who can serve men, that our body is a temple of God and our home a house of God.
Philemon was a man of obedience, capable of giving more than what was asked of him, kind, Paul who was a great man of God, had many expectations and confidence in him, Philemon was able to generate those feelings and that confidence because of his way of being, because he was a man completely consecrated to God, he fulfilled his commandments through his way of living and edified others in the faith.
Let us rejoice in the love of God and allow that through us God can comfort, restore and comfort others, today when everyone is thinking about themselves without caring what happens to others, let us make the difference, let us study the example of this man, be a Philemon of this time.
Philemon demonstrated the fruits of the Spirit during his time on earth. I cherish him.
