Steem Total Value Powered Up - $66 million - December 12, 2021

This is next in my series of posts reviewing the amount and value of powered up STEEM on the Steem blockchain. For previous posts, see the end of this entry.

Noteworthy in the last week,

The number of tokens continued to fluctuate between positive and negative daily changes. It was basically flat during the week, with a nominal decline of about 138k STEEM, ¹/₁₀ of 1%.
The percentage of market cap dropped below 36% this week for the first time in our daily downloads since October. It quickly bounced back above 36% after just 2 days' downloads.
Results against comparison tokens were mixed. The modeled value for powered up STEEM rose against SBD, but fell against other comparison tokens.

Daily Changes

Here is a chart of daily changes in powered-up STEEM from April 11 to present. The graph also includes a linear trend line and a 28 day moving average. Frequent transitions between positive and negative began around October 11 and continued through this week.

VESTED STEEM

Continued flattening. After seeing two new highs last week, no new highs were seen this week. Over the course of the week, the number of powered-up STEEM dropped by about 138k, or 0.1%.

Value of powered-up STEEM in terms of USD

Down by just under a million dollars, or about 1 ¹/₂% during the week. Still in a multi-month uptrend that began in June.

Value of powered-up STEEM in terms of Tron (TRX)

Tron gained in strength by about 10%, or 76 million TRX against the modeled value for powered-up STEEM over the course of the week.

Value of powered-up STEEM in terms of Steem Dollars

Up by 138k SBD, or about 1 ¹/₄% during the last week.

Value of powered-up STEEM as a percentage of Steem's market cap

Still flat since early October. After dipping below 36% for a couple of days, we've now seen 3 consecutive days above 36%; 78 consecutive days above 35%; 121 consecutive days above 34%; and 141 straight days above ¹/₃. Will it hold above 36%? Will we go above 37% again?

Value of powered-up STEEM in terms of bitcoin (BTC)

BTC gained in strength against the modeled value for powered-up STEEM by about 33 BTC or 3 ¹/₄% during the week.

Value of powered-up STEEM in terms of Ethereum

ETH gained in relative strength by less than 1%, or about 273 eTH.

Value of powered-up STEEM in terms of litecoin

In terms of LTC, the modeled value of powered up STEEM fell by about 5%, or 22KLTC. After starting a multimonth uptrend in June, LTC recently has been settling in a range around the 400k - 500k band.

What I observed on the trend of the steem exchange rate over the past week, it looks like next week steem will stabilize again at the exchange rate between $ 0.50 to $ 0.65. Today was a bit down, but I don't think that's a problem. Even still far beyond the exchange rate a year ago. I will continue to maintain my SP, and will increase the amount of SP by the end of this year, albeit by a small amount. Adjusted to my ability to invest.

I don't like being pessimistic but definitely this month many are going to have to take their pain pill. Personally, I thought it was going to be a good month. Although there are still three weeks left, and in this world many things can happen in that time.

Steem total value powered up was same from last two weeks. I think a big pump will come in next few week and It's time to buy Steem. Hopefully BTC will hit it’s new highest value by April 2022. Thank you.

It is still good market price of staked steem coin in this days of dumped price. I am eagerly awaiting to see the steem price over $1 and the market price over $100 million. And I hope it will happen soon.

I thought Steem price will increase this week but it continue to decrease again. Steem price is very important fact for Steem total value powered up amount and Steemit platform. You have observed everything very closely. Thanks for this deep analysis.

yeah it's decreasing, like it will last until the end of this year, for me, I don't care about the price going down, I will continue to be creative and post quality content even though the payment is small, I will continue to power up, up and down is normal, even if it goes down drastic, I think, I will survive to pick up the victory later, come on...don't be pessimistic, there will be high yields.
