THE LOSS OF THE DIAMOND

It is very common to see today how an object or a jewel becomes so important and representative in our life. At weddings, the rings mark a transcendence, being a symbol of union, pact, fidelity, love and much more.

He had given her a beautiful ring, as a sign of her love and union when she began a relationship under the direction of God, embarking on a courtship where fear of God was what prevailed, pleasing and serving her was a motive and a mutual delight, so much that the ring symbolized that: On top of this, there were two hearts facing each other and in the middle of them was a precious diamond stone; each heart represented each one of them, and the radiant stone represented God, who was the one who united them and was the center of everything.

Until from one moment to another, in the things of God they were diminishing, they no longer prayed as before, they attended church infrequently, they served occasionally, because it was more the attention of each other than the attention they felt for God They neglected everything God had given them, youth leadership, evangelization, service, just because it was more important to spend time with that person than with God.

She no longer wore her ring so often, the diamond was loosening, one day she put it back on, and being in a church meeting, looking at her hand, the beautiful stone was no longer in place, she had detached, the ring no longer looked beautiful.

Seeing this, both felt a void in their hearts and a great sadness just thinking that the stone had been lost, but more sadness caused them to reflect and react that God no longer occupied that first place in their relationship. A huge search began and in the midst of it many thoughts came to their minds, and it was the Holy Spirit recharging them at that moment through this situation.

The young people managed to react in time, they returned to God, and things changed for good, and even better than before, and as proof of this, they found the stone that had been lost, which returned to its place.

It is important to reflect, what is the place that God occupies in our life, nothing and no one should be more important than him, because it is Our Father who has given us everything, and the blessings he gives us, are not for us to move away from Him , but to be grateful and be glorified.

«Seek Jehovah while he can be found, call him while he is near. Let the wicked leave his way, and the wicked man his thoughts, and turn to Jehovah, who will have mercy on him, and our God, who will be broad to forgive. Because my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, said Jehovah. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts more than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55: 6-9 (NIV)
