Bowing To The Majesty of Trees

I am humbled by your magnificence

And your strength and longevity.

How you stake your claim with Mother Earth.
Taking root deep and far stretching
In harmony
With the richness and abundance of soil

You show humans how to be.

How to withstand the changes that life brings

How to be beautiful while sometimes
Changing and shifting
Depicting your seasonal moods.

And although you are stationary

You grow still

Blossoming from buds to flowers, and leaves
As you extend your branches
Wide in mid-air
Reaching up, so high to the firmaments above.

Paying homage to the sun by day

And the moon at night.

You in all your glory are a magnificent sight
And a blessing of nature to earth and humanity.
