Re-The Tree Philosophy, Symbols of Islam

in #philosophy7 years ago

Some time ago in a contemplation, I get a picture that I think has a very deep meaning and meaning. At the time I dissolved in mental, I got a magical discourse in the form of images and symbols of basic Islamic religion which includes four basic namely Shari'at, Tarikat, Reality, and Ma'rifat through the philosophy of a tree. Where we know that in a tree there are clearly four basic foundations that can be called a tree, namely the Root, Stem, Leaf and Fruit / Flower. On the contrary, the religion of Islam (Tree) certainly will never be separated from the four foundations that I have mentioned at the beginning of Shari'ah (Roots), Tarikat (Batang), Reality (Daun), and Ma'rifat (Buah).

Well, this is where we can examine, digest, understand and summarize the description of what the meaning of the inward tree philosophy is inwardly. Trees are something "alive" and "life" (giving life). Trees are also able to give a sense of calm and cool peace and able to become pegayom for other creatures. A tree is also described as an Islamic religion that always gives a sense of life, peace, coolness, and always nurturing all His people.

That is the reason why I interpret that the tree symbolizes the Islamic Religion. First let us discuss on the most basic or bottom of the tree, the Root (Shari'a). The root is a part of the tree that has the most important role of the tree although it is willing to be buried by the soil. Without the role of a root, the tree can never live because of the roots, trees can absorb water until it does not dry out, wither and die. The water absorbed is alive and life-giving, bringing on holiness and coolness. Similarly, if we associate the root with the Shari'a. Both are clearly the most fundamental seen from their respective roles. Shari'ah is our means in performing worship to Allah SWT through the rules and procedures that are physical / physical. In the Shari'ah, there is also a guidance about the purification of wudu, etc. and as clear as the root that absorbs water to live and develop, we are guided in the Shari'ah to purify ourselves with water so that we can perform our duty to Allah SWT with holy state and clean.

The second part is the Batang (Tarikat). Trunk is hard and can be used as a protector. If it says, the most powerful part of the tree, then the answer is the trunk. In Islam, we can relate to the Tarikat. Our worship will look strong, firm and full of confidence if we are able to reach the stage of Tarikat as a means of raising piety in worship. For example, dhikr, sodaqoh etc. Next we examine the Leaf (Essence). Leaves have a vivid, green color symbolizes life. A tree will be said to be alive if it has leaves, though not how far from a distance even we will assume that the tree is alive because seen from the leaves are still green. Similarly, the Islamic religion, will look alive and strong if the basic stage of the essence we can achieve in our worship. We pray in essence is a manifestation of the way we communicate with Allah SWT and is a form that we worship Him even though the rules of prayer arranged in the Shari'a, but in essence prioritize the batiniyah. Similarly, the essence of wudlu, not just holy outwardly / physical but must also sacred secar batiniyah. And the last or the most highest is on the Fruit / Flower. Fruit is the end result of a tree and is the largest work of trees during long journeys ranging from roots, stems and leaves. The twists and turns but that is the end point of the life achievement of a tree. If we relate, the fruit has the same meaning as the Ma'rifat. Both are the attainment of a goal until it reaches the end point in the life path.

A great destination and a long journey but it will be sweet when a tree has been fruitful or a worship has to ma'rifat true, like our fruit picking, sweet and delicious we taste. Waallahu A'lam. Demikanian magic discourse that I get, hopefully we can take the lesson and be able to be our reflection together that around us there is so much knowledge of Allah SWT that we can pick to be taken hikmahnya. No intention to patronize or knowledgeable, but not a mistake if we share knowledge even though it is only through this stroke. May be useful.
