The Top 10 Most Expensive TurboGrafx 16 Games
You won't believe the price of #1!
Clickbait title aside, the TurboGrafx 16 is a quirky little console that got sandwiched between the edgy Sega Genesis and the familiar Super Nintendo. The console had massive support in Japan, where it was known as the PC Engine, but it didn't find much success in the US and vanished after just a few years on the market.
Collectors have taken note of this system in recent years, which have driven the prices of games soaring. You can't get any games on this list for under $100. Here's a list of the current top 10 most expensive TurboGrafx 16 games.
As always, this list doesn't include bundles, promo titles or CD-ROM games. I'll save those for a future list, so this list will only include games released on standard TurboChip(HuCard) format. Prices are based off the loose cart prices.

Well, while I had a Turbo Grafx-16 back in the day, I can rest well knowing I never had any of these games. lol
You mention prices are based on "loose cart" but not the source. Ebay, sorted by sold listings, I take it?
I use pricecharting.com to get all my prices. They aggregate and average sales from ebay as well as Amazon to some degree.
Awesome. Thank you. I was wondering where the prices were coming from. Stuff like this is interesting to me because this is a moving target.
My favorite retro system. I play my Turbo Duo all the time still.
I got a TG16 in '91 and still have it, though I sold off all the games for it. I always wanted a Duo, but they've always been a bit too expensive.
I have a Turbo grafx too. To be honest I got the Duo at an amazing price. I used to know a guy that traded me all his video game stuff for ps2's. I dont know what he did with them all but it cost me 6 ps2 for the duo. He didn't care if they worked or not but I must've traded that guy 200 ps2 over the years from garage sales and thrift shops. So much of my stuff came from him.
( @retro-room : Footer suggestion, Maybe find/make a pixelated 8 or 16 bit footer image ? )
Good suggestion! I'll look at working something like that up for my footer.
Somer Assault also know as Mesopotamia in it's japanese version. What a great and unique game...
I never owned one or see one in real, but played and enjoyed a few games on emulators.

I never had the pleasure of owning a TG-16 system but I do still play quite a few of the TG games available on the Virtual Console on the Wii and Wii-U. A few of my favorite games are Devil's Crush, Air Zonk, Soldier Blade, Super Star Soldier, Final Soldier, and Psychosis. Great system! (And so is the CD-Rom TG16)
