I have been reading the Harry Potter books for the third time in my life; right now I'm going for the sixth book "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." This time I notice Ginny Weasley's strength, so here are my reasons why I think she is the coolest Weasley (In addition to being a girl, she is the youngest of all and ends up married to Harry):

1. She was possessed by Voldemort and she became stronger.

Ginny, in her first year at Hogwarts, was possessed by Voldemort. At just 11 years old, she was managed by the Dark Lord and, although Harry saved her in the end, she resisted him all the time...

I say that this event in her life took away her innocence. Even though the next few years were hard on her, Ginny was able to be reborn and be a better version herself. This is a pretty important point because… Even though the Weasleys are pretty brave and strong, I don't think at 11 they would have held out as long as Ginny.

2. Quidditch On.

Because she was a girl and the youngest of the brothers (men), they did not let her play Quidditch in her childhood with her older brothers. However, when no one saw her, Ginny played and practiced alone, stealing any of her brothers' brooms. Ginny, had very good references, because all her brothers were very good (except Percy and maybe Ron). Charlie, the Weasley's second, was even team captain.

So, when she could, (in his fourth and fifth year at Hogwarts) she went to the Quiddith proofs demonstrating his real talent. Not as much as a seeker, but as a hunter. For her, several times, Gryffindor was saved from loss.

3. She was part of the "Club of eminences".

Not many like Horace Slughorn, but this teacher, for the most part, he manages to select potential students. And Ginny, along with Harry and Hermione, was selected by Slughorn to be part of their "club of eminences". She was the first Weasley to be part of this club, although she didn't like it.

4. Feminist icon. “I kiss whoever I want”.

After a Quidditch practice, Ron and Harry found Ginny kissing Dean, whom was her boyfriend in her fifth year at Hogwarts. This made Ron explode, since he did not like her having boyfriends, especially if her boyfriend was such a close person like Dean.

5. Faces Harry.

Harry Potter becomes a little grumpy from the fourth book. And his bad mood is increasing through the years. On several occasions when Hermione and Ron were shy enough to face him; Ginny did it, without caring about anything.

In fact, the times she has gotten a positive response from him, since Harry feels very understood by Ginny.

6. Has the best of all Weasleys.

On several occasions, J.K. Rowling makes us see that Ginny looks like some of the Weasleys, depending on the occasion.

When she's angry and can't stand her brothers, she shoots them a look like Mrs. Weasley's, which shut everyone up.

Ginny also has the same sense of humor as her twin brothers Fred and George. It's pretty funny and in the worst (best) moments, it makes Harry laugh.

She has a good heart like her father and most of the Weasleys. Also, she is good with spells and curses. I doubt even Percy has been that agile.

7. She is Hermione Granger's BFF and is Luna's first friend.

For many, their favorite character is Hermione (for me it is like that). Starting in the summer of '94, the two girls became very close, as Hermoine began spending more time with the Weasleys going to the den in summers and Christmas. As the only girls, they generally shared a room and shared their most intimate affairs.

Hermione advised her (Ginny) to dating with other boys while Harry noticed her.

On the other hand, Ginny is who introduces Luna Lovegood to Harry and the others. She is generally kind to Luna even though the others are not so nice (including Harry, Ron and Hermoine).

Este es un punto bastante importante porque…el inicio de su adolescencia, no lo tuvo nada fácil y a pesar de que los Weasley sean bastante valientes y fuertes, no creo que a los 11 años hubieran resistido tanto como Ginny.

2. Quidditch On.

Porque era chica y la menor de los hermanos (hombres), no la dejaban jugar quidditch en su niñez, junto con sus hermanos mayores.

Sin embargo, cuando nadie la veía, Ginny jugaba y practicaba sola, robando cualquiera de las escobas de sus hermanos. Ginny, tuvo muy buenas referencias, pues todos sus hermanos eran muy buenos (exceptuando Percy y tal vez, Ron). Charlie, el segundo de los Weasley, fue capitán del equipo.

Así pues, cuando pudo, (en su cuarto y quinto año de Hogwarts) se presentó a las pruebas de Quiddith demostrando su real talento. No tanto como buscadora, sino como cazadora. Por ella, varias veces, Griffindor se salvó de perder partidos.

Ahora, según J.K. Roling, después de salir de Hogwarts, logró ser parte del equipo de Arpías de Holyhead como jugadora de quidditch profesional.

3. Fue parte del “Club de las Eminencias”.

Fue la primera Weasley en ser parte de este club, aunque a ella no le gustara nada y le pareciera una tontería.

4. Icono feminista. “Yo me beso con quien yo quiera”.

Después de una práctica de Quidditch, Ron y Harry encontraron a Ginny besándose con Dean, su novio en su quinto año de Hogwarts. Esto hizo que Ron explotara, puesto que a él no le gustaba nada que ella tuviera novios, en especial, si su novio era una persona tan cercana como Dean quien era de Griffindor y del mismo curso que Harry y Ron.

Ron insinuó que a Ginny la llamaban “puta” por andar con “tantos” chicos. Ella le respondió que ella se podía besar y salir con quien quiera, y que dejara de estar celoso, pues él estaba así porque su hermana menor había conseguido antes que él, tener pareja y besar a alguien.

5. Le hace frente a Harry.

Harry Potter se vuelve un poco malhumorado a partir del cuarto libro “Harry Potter y el cáliz de fuego”. Y su malhumor va aumentando a través de los años. En varias ocasiones, cuando Hermione y Ron estaban lo bastante tímidos para decirle las cosas en la cara, ha sido Ginny la que lo ha hecho, sin importarle nada.

De hecho, las veces que lo ha hecho, ha conseguido una respuesta positiva por parte de él puesto que Harry se siente muy entendido por Ginny…en especial, en los últimos años, cuando a él le gusta Ginny.

6. Tiene lo mejor de todos los Weasley.

En varias ocasiones, J.K. Rowling nos hace ver que Ginny cuando está con uno u otro humor, se parece a alguno que otro de los Weasley. Cuando está enojada y no soporta a sus hermanos, les lanza una mirada como las de la Sra. Weasley, las cuales callan a todo el mundo.

También Ginny tiene el mismo sentido del humor que sus hermanos gemelos Fred y George. Es bastante graciosilla y en los peores (mejores) momentos, hace reír a Harry.

Tiene un buen corazón como su padre y la mayoría de los Weasley. También es potente con los hechizos y maldiciones, su mejor maldición es el Maleficio de los mocomurciélagos. Dudo que ni si quiera Percy haya sido tan ágil.

7. Es BFF de Hermione Granger y es la primera amiga de Luna.

Para muchos, su personaje favorito es Hermione (para mí es así).
