Self-Introduction to Steemwomen Club | @reycel

Hello to all the beautiful people here in Steemwomen community. I hope everyone is healthy and fine despite the problems the world is facing right now. Before I introduce myself I would like to thank my sister @mariarosa27 for inviting me in this amazing platform. I honestly don’t know anything about steemit and so I tried joining and posting to other communities recently and so far I really loved it. Every time people make time to comment and read my stories that I posted, It really made me very happy. I like sharing beautiful happenings of my life and inspiring people through my experiences. And I am looking forward to share my upcoming activities of my life here in this community. And here is my introduction.

❤️ABOUT ME❤️

I am Reycel Punay, 28 years old from the Philippines but I am currently living in Japan right now for work. My steemit username is @reycel. I am the eldest daughter of my Parents. I have 3 lovely younger sisters and 1 cute niece. I graduated in 2015 in one of the Universities in Cebu. After I graduated college I worked as a call center agent in one of the BPO companies in Cebu. After I passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers I quit that job and I worked as an ESL teacher in an English Academy. I enjoyed my work as an English teacher. In fact until now I am still teaching English to Japanese learners. I am very blessed to be given the opportunity to work here in Japan. I have been teaching here for 2 years and 2 months now. I am forever grateful to God for all the achievements I have in life and also to all the people He made as instruments behind my success. I came from a poor family, my family could not afford to send me to college but with the grace of God He touched so many amazing people to help me reached my dreams. It is indeed true that “Poverty is not a hindrance to Success”. Let us not give up to our dreams, let’s be positive in life, do our best and pray to God for guidance.

THE INSTRUMENTS GOD USED TO REACH MY DREAMS

🎶INTERESTS AND HOBBIES🎶

Aside from teaching, singing is my passion. according to my parents, I started singing when I was 2 years old. I love singing very much and in fact I created a youtube channel last year and I currently have 674 subscribers. I created the channel because I really wanted to make song covers of my favorite songs. I make song covers of different languages such as korean songs (Especially K-drama OST), Japanese, English, OPM and OBM(Original Bisaya Music.

I love watching korean dramas, in fact I am a korean drama addict 🤣 I have started watching korean dramas when I was high school and until now I still watch them. but recently I avoid watching korean dramas because I am afraid that if I start watching them then it would be hard to stop haha. recently I am watching Japanese animes and one of my favorite animes is demon slayer (鬼滅の刃). I am trying to watch Japanese movies and anime to improve my Japanese listening skills.

I love cats and dogs very much. because of my love for them I sometimes go to a dog and cat cafe here in Japan. It’s kinda expensive but worth it. I will show you pictures of me with the cute cats.

RELIGION

I am a Roman Catholic. when I was high school, I was an active member of some of the ministries in church. I was a member of Parish youth coordinating council, Cantors ministry where I sing psalms in church and also I joined a charismatic movement. Now since I am already working and I am here in Japan, I am no longer active of the ministries mentioned about but I am still really very grateful to God that I am still able to find a religious community here. I am member of a choir here and I also sing psalm every Sunday. and also we have a community in Cebu where my family is also there, every Sunday we meet and have the small prayer group through zoom. I am so blessed and forever grateful to God for all the achievements in my life.
