The rise of product advertisements that promise a youthful look makes many women believe that men prefer young women to beauty.

In fact, a new study from England shows that men turn out to be more voters. They prefer attractive women even though they are older than younger women with a standard look.

Research done by evolutionary psychologists (a branch of psychology that studies the potential role of genetic factors in various aspects of human behavior), Dr. George Fieldman of Chiterns University College in England, points out that up to a certain age, men consider attraction more important than age, when asked about potential mates.

"Older women, at some age, can compete with young women because of their physical attractiveness," Fieldman said.

This research is done by showing a photo of a woman aged 36 to 45 years who are considered attractive in the eyes of a group of men.

They showed the images to three groups of men in their early 20s and also showed a picture of eight women aged 20-45 who were in the usual view.

As a result, men in the study prefer women who are considered attractive no matter that the age of women in the photo is older.

Previously, many people thought that men prefer women aged about 20 years. But, this research has proven otherwise.

Dr. Fieldman concluded that the study shows how much power beauty in the eyes of men.

Dr. Fieldman also said that men are more likely to seduce beautiful women than young women. And we all know, that women aged 20 years most have health and good fertility rates.

"Younger women will obviously give more children, but the fact that many men prefer beauty, suggests that it is more important than age at some level," says Dr. Fieldman.

It should be underlined, however, that this study is based solely on physical attractiveness and does not take into account other things such as kindness, generosity and attention.

Of course other factors besides physical attractiveness are equally important in determining long term relationships.[kompas]
