Accompanied by the Chairman of Dekranasda, Acting. Bireuen Regent Attends the 7th National and International Serumpun Malay Event in 2024.

Acting Bireuen Regent Aulia Sofyan, Ph.D together with the Chair of the Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) of Bireuen Regency, Dr. Dr. Nova Dian Lestari, Sp. S (K) attended the closing of the 7th National and International Serumpun Malay Degree event in 2024.

At the Closing of the Serumpun Malay Title, Acting. Bireuen Regent Aulia Sofyan, Ph.D received a souvenir from the Deputy Mayor of Medan, Aulia Rachman.

On this occasion, Acting. Chairman of Dekranasda Bireuen, Dr. Dr. Nova Dian Lestari, Sp. S (K) also handed over souvenirs to the Deputy Mayor of Medan, Mr. Aulia Rachman.

The event will take place from May 29 to June 1 2024, at the Maimun Palace in Medan. This event was attended by representatives from four friendly countries, namely Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and India.

Especially for Malaysia, they sent delegates from seven different regions in that country. The seven regions of Malaysia that sent representatives to attend the 7th Serumpun Melayu Event were Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Selangor, Ipoh, Kuantan and Johor.

Delegates from the four countries were given ten booths during the event, they will display the characteristics of their respective countries.

Apart from abroad, the 7th Serumpun Melayu Event also brought in cultural ambassadors from various provinces in Indonesia, namely Aceh, North Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Bali.

The 7th Serumpun Malay Show featured a variety of cultural performances that were strong with Malay elements such as dances. Apart from that, this activity is an opportunity to preserve Malay culture in the world and increase insight into Malay culture among the younger generation.

Not only that, the Serumpun Malay Title is also an opportunity to promote Medan tourism. This event is one of 110 Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) agendas.

The 7th Serumpun Melayu Event was opened by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Salahudin Uno. The opening was marked by the playing of the Gambus musical instrument by Sandiaga Uno together with the Acting Governor of North Sumatra, Hassanudin; Mayor of Medan, Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution and the 14th Sultan of Deli, Sultan Mahmud Aria Lamantjiji Perkasa Alamsyah.
