Bireuen to Form Regional Revenue Service.

Bireuen Regent, Aceh Province, H Mukhlis will form a Regional Revenue Service to increase regional original revenue (PAD) in the future.

"If PAD does not increase, Bireuen is in danger. So my initiative is that PAD must be increased without any reason. So, I am ready to establish the Regional Revenue Service," said Bireuen Regent, Mukhlis.

According to him, PAD has so far been controlled by the Bireuen Regency Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD).

This was conveyed by Regent Mukhlis in the Development Planning Deliberation (Musrenbang) for the Regency Development Work Plan (RKPK) at the Karang Taruna Building, Peusangan District, Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

The RKPK Musrenbang is at the Jangka, Peusangan, Peusangan Siblah Krueng and Peusangan Selatan District levels.

Later, the Regional Revenue Service will manage various PAD potentials itself. So far, it has not been optimal because BPKD has many activities on its own so that many potentials cannot be managed optimally.

There are many potential agricultural products in Bireuen, today the results are not up to 20 percent, meaning they are leaking. This is what needs to be thought about, later it can answer the hope of improving the welfare of the apparatus gampong (village), and regional development.

"So in the future our PAD will be good, be sure, keuchik, imum mukim, Tgk imum and village apparatus will be considered, but this must be supported because the work area in the village area of ​​the keuchik, the Keuchik should not be the obstacle," said Mukhlis.

"Later we will build a retribution post, today millions of cubic meters of material are outside the Bireuen area, there is nothing at all for PAD," added Mukhlis.

The impact of mining is erosion and the Bireuen community is the victim, for PAD zero, this is the current task. Including the assets of the Bireuen Regency Government, almost 50 percent are controlled by people who are not entitled.

Therefore, if no handling efforts are made this time, then Bireuen will be finished. This must be thought about, five years into the future. Likewise, many national projects enter Bireuen Regency and use Bireuen materials but PAD is zero.

"If this potential can be managed properly, it is estimated that around IDR 500 billion each year can be included for PAD," said the Regent who has a background as a businessman.

Regent Mukhlis said that now the Bireuen Regency Government continues to hope for a budget from the Central Government. Because it has not been able to be independent and is spoiled because the central government will give money.

"So that Bireuen does not collapse, we must be able to be independent by utilizing the existing potential, if no one cares, there are quite a lot of bandits in Bireuen," said Mukhlis.

Government employees and stakeholders are under pressure, this is very unfortunate, so they do not dare to take any policies, they are afraid and silent. "This time you must not be afraid as long as you are right," said Mukhlis firmly.
