Regent Continues Ramadan Safari at Nurul Huda Mosque.
The Regent of Bireuen Regency, H Mukhlis, ST continued the third day of the safari visit which took place on Friday (7/3/2025) evening, at the Nurul Huda Mosque, Gampong Blang Guron, Gandapura District.
Regent H Mukhlis expressed his gratitude to the people of Gandapura, for the trust given to him and Ir H Razuardi MT during the 2024 Pilkada, so that now he can carry out the mandate to lead the Bireuen Regency Government.
"Alhamdulillah, thanks to the people's trust, we became Regent, I promise to continue to uphold this great mandate and work solely for the interests of the community, to build a progressive and prosperous Bireuen Regency," he said.
In his remarks, the Regent also said that village funds assistance from the government could end at any time, so that at this time it must be used as effectively and efficiently as possible, and be beneficial for the wider community.
He also asked the village apparatus to allocate village funds for the construction of decent houses and youth needs and various religious activities in their respective villages.
In addition, the community in all villages can continue to revive tadarus activities in mosques, as well as meunasahs during the holy month of Ramadan 1446 hirjiah.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Bireuen also conveyed the rampant planting of oil palm in the rice fields in Gandapura District, which is a special concern for him.
H Mukhlis ST admitted that he was quite concerned about the conditions around the rice fields, where many oil palm trees were starting to be planted. This has the potential to disrupt the community's agricultural efforts, as well as having an impact on the people's economy, due to the shrinking of rice fields.
"We will later see the rules and regulations that can prevent the expansion of oil palm plantations, in rice field areas so that productive rice fields are not disturbed," he explained.
Related to the problem of shrinking rice field areas, it is feared that there will be a contradiction with the national food security program instructed by President Prabowo, and must be the focus and special attention of regional heads in the country.
He admitted that all elements of society in Bireuen Regency are proud of Lukman CM, as a successful Acehnese businessman, who has contributed greatly to the economic growth of the people of Bireuen Regency, especially in Gandapura through the Palm Oil Mill (PKS) industry.
According to Regent H Mukhlis, the PKS business was pioneered and built with a fairly large investment, and deserves support from all parties because it revives the people's economy, from upstream to downstream.
However, he hopes that the business will continue well, without negative implications for the agricultural sector of the community around the area, he hoped.
