Logo proposal for RavenDesk
Happy day for all, this post is about explaining the whole process of contact and design that was made for the contribution to the RavenDesk project.
The RavenDesk project is a CMS (Content Management System) that works with Webpack and Isomorphic-jsx. In conversations with the owner of the project, he explains that the base of the project are the websites.
As the owner of the project expresses it, the name RavenDesk is inspired by a phrase from the famous movie Alice in the Country of the Maravillas, where it is said: Why is a raven like a writing desk?. So the owner wanted a logo that at first sight expressed a raven, at first he wanted a raven on a table, however I was inspired to give a more modern and minimalist style to the raven.
During a deep search for GitHub I found the RavenDesk project, when I checked I noticed that it is a project that is in development and did not have a defined logo, in addition to this I notice that within the Issues I had an open theme about the logo design so I got in touch with him. The contact was mainly by GitHub then we contacted via email.
Issues
The design process starts with the inspiration of the raven therefore I use pencil and paper and a little creativity to make an outline of the icon, I'm not very good at drawing with the pencil so the result was this.
Using the basic scheme, I put my hands to work and start working on Adobe Illustrator Cs6. I begin to relate the main strokes of the icon with circles to define the limits of the design. then one all the paths and the result was really beautiful.
With the design defined and approved by the project owner, I made different variations and created ICON, LOGO TYPE and LOGO, all in .AI .PDF .SVG .PNG format, and I loaded it into a folder of google drive that I share with the owner of the project so you can use the logo.

Thank you for the contribution, I am biggest fan of these gray tones. I liked your logo design. Text could be bigger on logotype version.
You must pay more attention on presentation. There are some proportional mistakes. Please align graphics like below.
