Hello guys good morning..! Hope you all had a beautiful night rest? It's Thursday over here and I'm wishing you all terrific day ahead as I share post with you... Great members of @steemkids how are you all doing, I want to share with you all the steps I took when making my portrait...
So if your ready just buckle up your sit belt and let's move on...

Materials
Pencil: charcoal pencil
Paper: Needlepoint
Size: 10 ×16
Duration: 4hours

Without further adoule this are the steps I took when drawing my portrait..

Step 1

IMG-20220619-WA0001.jpg

Firstly I got my needle point paper, measured it and cut it to the required shape.. then made my grid lines.. after that I made a light sketch of his face on my needle point paper, then I bright out my charcoal powder and started shading...during this stage I started with his write eye, I used the sharp tip of my Pencil to bring out the outlines on his eyes before I started shading... After doing that I moved to his lips, the lips was quite easy to shade tho cause it just had one tune of shade.... I used my brush to blend and shade his lips softly..

Step 2

I then used my pencil to make alot of tiny scribbles on his beards, after doing that I used my brush to blend it into his skin and it come out perfectly, then I used my eraser to make some highlights on his beards so it would look realistic..

Step 3

Then I moved to his left eye, made some shades very softly on it.. I scribbled my pencil on his mustache then I blended it into his upper cheek.. I then used my brush to blend it properly..

Step 4

Moving to his hair, I scribbled my pencil on his hair.. then I used my hard charcoal with my blending stump to blend it... And I still used my charcoal powder to make it darker.. for the side fade, I used my pencil to make very light and tiny strings of hair on it, then I used my eraser to bring out the highlight before blending his forehead..
