“TOP" RECENT TRANSFER DEALS

BETWEEN 2ND AUGUST - 5TH AUGUST, 2017

2ND AUGUST, 2017

Emiliano Martinez - - - (Goal keeper) - - - {Arsenal to Getafe} - - - Fee: Loan Transfer

Emiliano

RICKIE’S TAKE ~ (A decent deal for Getafe) - - - A young and ambitious goalie who’s yet to cut it at the highest level, when it comes to goal-keeping. Held his own, on occasions when given the chance. But when you are behind the legendary Petr Cech, and an equally exceptional David Ospina in the pecking order at Arsenal, then it’s only sensible that you leave in order to get game time, howbeit on a temporary loan deal. Good deal for the young goalie. Evidently, his Spanish fluency, being an Argentinian, would make him more at home at Getafe for the upcoming season.

3RD AUGUST, 2017

Neymar - - - (Forward) - - - {Barcelona to Paris St-Germain} - - - Fee: £200m

Neymar

RICKIE’S TAKE ~ (A fantastic deal for PSG) - - - In one of the most protracted, most controversial, most agonizing, and most outrageous transfer deals of the modern football era, PSG finally signed Neymar Jr. in a mind-boggling, mouth-watering, head-spinning, and eye-rolling deal for £200million; and by so doing destroyed and virtually obliterated the previous world record of £89million Manchester United paid for a certain Paul Pogba in 2016. Though not your typical ‘no. 9’ striker, he’s truly a gifted and amazing footballer and is equally as deadly in front of goal. He’s been often accused of trying to con referees with on-the-pitch antics such as diving, and feigning injuries, but he is no doubt on of the best footballers of his time. The European season is about to get even more interesting with a Neymar headlining PSG’s campaign in the UCL in the coming season.

Kelechi Iheanacho - - - (Forward) - - - {Manchester City – Leicester} - - - Fee: £25m

Kelechi

RICKIE’S TAKE ~ (A good deal for Leicester) - - - Nigeria’s current good luck charm and priced goal poacher has also been a subject of a protracted transfer shenanigan all summer. Highly under-appreciated and under-valued at City, he gets his chance to strut his stuff at Leicester City, and hopefully proves a lot of his doubters’ wrong, chief of whom is perhaps Guardiola, for not trusting him enough to share a place in his starting ‘eleven’. After the whole ‘would he, should he, is he’, Iheanacho would have to compete with experienced forwards such as Islam Slimani and crowd favourite, Jamie Vardy for the top striking position at Leicester. With the talent and potential he’s got, we can only wish the Nigerian wonder-kid a brilliant career at Leicester.

4TH AUGUST, 2017

Gaston Ramirez - - - (Midfielder) - - - {Middlesbrough to Sampdoria} - - - Fee: Undisclosed

Gaston

RICKIE’S TAKE ~ (A fair deal) - - - A young but injury plagued attacking midfielder, with a skillful and versatile style of play. Made a name for himself in the Italian Serie A with Bologna, before moving to England. Had a good first season, but subsequently fizzled out due to inconsistency, disciplinary issues (known for tearing up his contract) and injury problems. Joined smaller English teams like Hull City and Middlesbrough, but failed to ignite his career. Sampdoria would provide a new opportunity, in a familiar league for him to try straightening himself out. But whether he would stay fit and re-ignite his form and career, only time would tell.

Fernando - - - (Midfielder) - - - {Man City to Galatasaray} - - - Fee: Undisclosed

Fernando

RICKIE’S TAKE ~ (A good deal for Gala) - - - A dependable and often ever-present defensive midfielder. He’s often seen as a bestial figure in not the most glamourous of positions on the field of play, but quite efficient in his role. Known for his hard tackles and defensive awareness, one begins to wonder why Manchester City have decided to call it quits with him after spending three rewarding seasons with them, and at a time when there is no immediate replacement for him.

Lolz......Suz! Thanks, and you should try to follow.

You haven't told me what kind of sport you like and indulge in.

Seeing how much these players earn makes me wonder why the heck I stopped playing football. I used to be a very good footballer as a kid, so I'm told 😁

Lolz......and all of a sudden you just blanked football?

Weirdo! Lol

Never knew it'll be this lucrative.
