Today a picture of Patuxai in Vientiane Laos. patuxai mean the victory gate it was built from 1957 to 1968 it is a kind of monument for the dead who died during the war for independence against french colonialism. It looks a lot like the Arc of Triumph in Paris France. The top of the gate possess 5 towers and represent the 5 Buddhist principles "honor, honesty, flexibility, amiability and prosperity. The all gate is decorated with Buddhist mystical animals and Buddha life. The gate is situated on the avenue Lane Xang very comparable to the french Champs Elysee.
