A trip to....Coumshingaun, Comeragh mountains.
Decided to take a hike today up the Comeragh mountains to Coumshingaun corrie lake. One of the finest examples of a corrie lake in Europe.
A break to fry up some burgers on my little cooker I always take on hikes, then a few photos before trecking back.
It's amazing to see how many people head up the mountains with nothing on them, wearing unsuitable footwear oblivious to the dangers. Last time I was in this area we had to rescue two tourists who decided to try scramble up the cliff we roped up and froze half way up. All they had with them was a small bottle of water, no rain gear, no emergency survival gear....nothing.
Everyone should always plan for those what ifs!!!

Such amazing landscape and view! Yes, I agree a person should be prepared if they are out to hike in nature! Thank you for sharing your great photos!

So lonely, but amazing place. It's so lonely there, that you can find yourself there :) Walking in forest or on mountain is must for me few times per month.
Beautiful place and photos! :)

Fabulous photos. Great photography. 😀
wow really beautifull photo and beautifull country ireland 💕
Lovely photographs!
Indeed important to think about the ifs. Should teach those tourists a bit of programming, where we always control the ifs and elses. And not to mention the disaster of getting stuck in a while loop alongside the cliff. 😜
