The population in the Ross Sea has been declining. Why? Because of overfishing by humans of their prey, the toothfish. We would not know this if not for the research you see in this video. The orcas are dying, along with other marine animals and marine/terrestrial animals, because we're polluting the waters. The toxins that are accumulating in the waters, for example those from the oil spills especially, get deposited in the fatty tissue of these animals. Over time, they're poisoned to death.
