Å | At the End of Lofoten | The Last Frontier Photography
Å
This is where the road ends.
Those mountains rise from the ocean like sharp teeth of an ancient beast.
The endless Atlantic ocean fills the horizon and lets the eye rest on the smooth infinity.
Clouds dance in the skies throughout the day changing and morphing.
Majestic.
That is a word to describe the Lofoten islands.
And I forgot to mention the beaches... Dozens of beaches scattered across the Islands. Some easy to reach while some require a more determinated trekking to reach.
There is truly something for everyone!
In the summer the place is filled with camping areas while outside the tourist season it is a bit harder to find proper places to sleep. But do not fear! They have built new resting areas around the islands and I guess it is ok to sleep one night almost anywhere if you don't give trouble to the locals.
These are our last photos from Lofoten. ...October 2016...
