Analyzing Steemit Users Situation in Aceh, Indonesia (Sndbox Summer Camp Sociology -Task One)

As a teacher and writer who join Steemit like me, I am here to write and posting my photo or the photo I took. Because I know if I take somebody else photos, without source putting, the cheetah will come. I imitate what people already write in steemit. If I write about travel, I will write posts about travel, what people already write, to avoid the mistake and to check whether this already written or not.

Retention Rate

As a Teacher, I also promote steemit to my school teacher, to encourage them to write about education. So, many teachers are now on steemit in Aceh, they post about their experience as educators and spread their ideas to all steemit users here in Indonesia. The steemit users here in Aceh post about what they like such us writing about their hobbies and where they went or what they daily activity, sometimes writing about themselves and what they feel about steemit. And many post about photography and also some of them post about gaming.

Only the people who care about the steemit development who follow the project that held by OCD, sometimes they just write what they like about their city with photos, and OCD find they writing. We find here In Aceh the misguided newbie who posted wrongly in steemit. They writing too short, and did post in steemit like they write on facebook. So, what we do as community leaders is comment in their post and advice them to write better in the future. But for newbie steemit is special, they find application that can support their hobbies. Many writing, photos, videos and design they make now they know where they put it.

Whale Position

The whale is who will guide the future of steemit. They will gave the knowledge to newbie on steemit and guide the lost steemians who only posting without knowing on steemit. The whale can held the meeting, and give their thought to all steemians they found to share what he knows.

About Self Vote and Buy Voters

Buy voting is become major problem here in Aceh, me myself also vote myself why I found out nobody likes my post. But now after reading some articles that tell that is bad behavior. After the meeting and some explanation we know, how to get up voted by putting the right tag, and blogwalking to another blog.

We also write in english to spread the ideas widely. Vote buyers is the users sometimes who don’t have any friends in their daily live, or who are desperate and want to reach to the next level rashly. So they buy vote to compete with other. But some of them, after they find friends in community, they won’t do that again.

The Quality of Posts

We are also find out the low quality posting in steemit. Me also do this, sometimes I think is not good but I also posted it. We are concern about that and tried to do some to meeting with newbie and oldbie to solve this problem. If we found out low quality content, we are not up voting it and try to explain to the users how to raise their quality in posting content in here.

Conclusion

This is the reality that I know about Steemit situation in Aceh, Indonesia, based on my 165 days experience on steemit. As one of secretary of the community leader here in Sigli, we tried our best to make the Siglian posted better and better day by day on steemit, so we can be the leading grup of literacy, photography, videography and other creative content here in Indonesia, for young generation of Indonesian, to achieve our better future trough criptocurrency best social media.
