Travelling Folk

People of the rivers
Of the forest roads and sea
I reach my hands toward you, and bind myself to thee

With your hands stained with grease and coal
And hearts where old tales hide
I lend my ear to your rhythms
As the world moves by and by

I wish I could go with you all
Lose the heavy loads I carry
Yet sadly I do not clearly know
The reasons that I tarry.

This is a question I am asking myself today - why do I tarry?
Since it seems nothing will ever be the same again, it seems a good time to take plunges.

And hearts where old tales hide
I lend my ear to your rhythms

So beautiful.
