Minnows and (not) buying Steem! High Risk, High Reward!
Why don't minnows buy Steem?
Today I got another user commenting on my post of tips that minnows should but as much Steem as possible since the price is pretty low right now. It will help you with a lot of stuff!
What I notice when talking to minnows is that they aren't buying and investing in Steem. They like the platform but are still uncertain if they should buy it. And they are right! There are some really valid points on why not to buy and invest in Steemit.
- It's a high risk investment. It's always unsure on the future. You can see what is recently happening with the prices dropping so low.
- It will cost you money. It depends on you on how much you want to buy but it always costs you money which in turn doesn't let you buy stuff on short term.
But you know the saying
"High risk, high reward!"
The more you invest in this awesome platform, the more you will be rewarded if the platform rises to new heights! You will earn more from the rewards and can use your initial investment to get greater rewards. If you are a true believer in Steemit, this shouldn't even be an issue :D.
For this to understand you have to be a little in cryptocurrency. If you invest in other cryptocurrencys you will get the meaning of the high rises, the downfalls but most importantly, the value of a cryptocurrency. You will get to know the real value of the coin and what's it worth. You will spend time reading up, using it and your opinion and mindset will grow around it.
Example: You are using Steemit right now. You most likely love it because you can share your knowledge, earn a little (or a lot) of money with it and network even more. You see a potential in it, you think it's great that you can get money out of it. This little mindset can already help you form your opinion on buying Steem. Of course there is a bigger picture here, but you will have to find that out for yourself!
Steemit is relatively small right now. if you follow @elyaque and see the daily reports about steemit you see the incredible rise in new users and the value of steem. Give him a follow because the reports and tips are pretty useful!
If listed some points on why not to buy, but not yet why you should buy!
- Today Steem can be bought pretty cheap. (Because it fell big time. So buy today!)
- You will never earn SBD / Steem so easy as now. We're not early adopters anymore but an early majority. So you're not to late to join in and stay ahead of the rest!
I do would like to state that everyones financial status is different on it's a personal decision on whetever or not to buy Steem or cash out your hard earned money. But Steemit has a real future so hang on tight and be rewarded later on!
Hoi @rkrijgsman Leuk nog een nederlander te zien hier :)
Just bought some Steem for the first time last week and will be doing it again since price is low. Lets see if it pays off in the long run :)
buying in isn't really an option for me now, all i can do is invest my time X-o
yea, same problem my side..
I would never suggest to any minnow (or anyone at that) to buy STEEM. I would suggest if they are in it for the long run and believe in the system they should maybe think about "investing" into the system. But make sure they understand don't put in what you can't afford to lose.
Great write up, I know i am buying and still hodling i will keep investing till i get to 500 SP then i will stop investing and just see how rewards go from there,
The other part of me wants to just keep buying below $2.00. i wish i had a bunch more BTC but so many great projects ATM it is spread thin but my profits from most trades and mining is going right back in to steem.
Nice! What projects are you in at the moment? :). Investing is always a risk and when you reach 500 SP it's a good way to stop for a bit and take an overview of it!
EON, BAT, Edgeless, mobigo, skin token. Aswell as a few good classic coins like Dopecoin Burst storj. and my all time DOGE cause everyone should own some doge. o and a new up and coming coin like doge ESPERS.
What projects you invested in?
Totally agree.
great post and info! Buy low sell high ! 👍👍👍
Risky I say! But it might pay of in a few months , even sooner!
Still not sure what to do lol
It's always a gamble and it always weighs in personal factors as well. Financial status, if you are a risk taker or not, usability and more. Always put in money you can 'spare'. Might sound weird because who has money to spare haha. But you can also buy a bit of steem for like $10 - $15. It's not much, but it's something and it might pay out later on. In 2 weeks you don't even miss that money and it's welcome when you get it back :D

I am the prime example as to why you should buy some Steem if you can. Putting some skin into the game reaps rewards, it supercharges your organic Steem growth, and now I am absolutely hooked.
I have probably invested like $100 into my Steem account so far powering it up, and so far in the three days since the creation of my Steemit account, my posts have generated an estimated $100 in Steem, and it is rising. I easily got my money back in a couple days.
Fellow Minnows....invest....invest....invest, while the platform is still new, you will surely not regret it.
Ty for the great advice, I am sure it will help a lot of those new to the site and improve the platform even further,
Here's an upvote
@cryptounicon
Exactly! It's a good way indeed and you have a great example. Although it should be noted that it is possible that it might happen different of course ;). But keep it up and you will make your initial investment 10 times more!
