RE: Edit problems since communities are live!

in Communities Feedback4 years ago

Looking at the source of https://steemd.com/deutsch/@jaki01/bundesregierung-fuer-pflicht-zur-passwortherausgabe, I see there are some formatting issues. E.g.:

<li>
<p>
... Anbieter von "Telemediendiensten" (dazu

I believe it may be an issue with <p> tags nested in <li>. Was the HTML created outside of the editor? Could you try using plain <br /> instead as needed?

Hi again, @roadscape: I think it's really interesting that as soon as I copy the original source from your link: (https://steemd.com/deutsch/@jaki01/bundesregierung-fuer-pflicht-zur-passwortherausgabe) into the Steemit editor the preview is absolutely correct again! Then I can edit my post. However, when I click at "Edit" under my post, the editor shows a completely different source code!

Thanks for your reply!

Actually, I rather often use(d) the combination <p> & </p> within <li> & </li>, also in the Steemit editor, so I really wonder if that could be the reason for my problems with this post, but I will check out what happens, when I replace all <p> & </p> within lists by <br> or <br/> or <br />. :)

What I also wonder about, is, why the appearance of the post itself looks exactly as intended in my blog, but problems only arise when I try to edit it?

While contemplating about that, I think it would be nice to have the possibility to write 'test posts', not to trigger all the auto votes when just testing anything.

I will try to edit the old post and check how the editor preview looks like when changing the formatting according to your suggestion.

Have you looked into hackmd.io for test postings? !invest_vote

No ... at the moment I am happy if I find enough time to post at all ...
