The photos behind the art...It's all still so new and fresh for me.

It really got serious in the Spring. I had been taking tons of photos, of course, just of the kid (being a Mom and all). But then something changed and I started seeing things in a different light. Suddenly I liked the way that angle looked or the way an object was framed. Plus, my friend @nebcat is a photographer and I am lucky enough to have picked up a few tips and tricks from him. :-)

Lately, I have got back into creating graphic art. Photos with composition are what stand out to me the most. The unique differences in my surroundings suddenly spark me. I begin to find inspiration in the littlest things. And that's when it really took off for me. These past few months have been a blast as the leafs have changed. It was a wonderful summer, this year in Portland, Oregon, and a wonderful spring, too.

Where did the Top 50 come from?

Looking around my desktop, there are so many favorite photos that is hard to choose the top 50. So many of them catch my eye, even now. I have this year's stash of photos on my Google Drive. It makes it really easy to decide which ones I want to download or not, to keep. And it is super easy to transfer all the photos from my phone onto my G-drive. I can upload hundreds at a time that way.

Most of my top 50 photos are from the downtown Portland, OR area. I have a fascination with Architecture. The buildings of downtown Portland are particularly meaningful for me because of the fond memories I have of going to school on campus. I did a few school projects on some of the buildings, including hand-drawn reproductions. If you look closely, you can see the sacred work of the Masons on every corner of the area.

It was over ten years ago I went to Portland State University to study Architecture. I dropped out when I realized I had no desire to go through higher math, nor be a science major. I am an art major. I wanted to be an architect for the design aspect. Luckily, I have stayed true, and am rediscovering my love of creating graphic art, using my everyday photos.

Here is the compilation of my best photos, from across the seasons turn, these last months.

Haha, Mr. Beetle is a western conifer seed bug, which I wouldn't have known 24 hours ago ;-)

That means he was photographed in his native home! :-) <3

Being a true bug, it feeds with its piercing-sucking mouthparts on the gooey goodness inside of conifer seeds.

It would take more than one seating to browse these. From what i've seen, it'd worth the time.

Thanks Babe! :-)
