Crazy Animals: A marine worm from hell that looks like a cousin of the facehugger Xenomorph from Alien
Meet eulagisca gigantea, a bristle worm that lives in the waters in the area of Antarctica that looks like something that came straight out of a budget sci-fi horror movie set in space.
This creature belongs to a class of worms that live in the oceans called bristle worms. The bristles they have on the sides of their bodies help them with locomotion including crawling and swimming and might also be used for defense (when the looks of the animal are not enough that is). This particular species can grow to about 8 inches and its intimidating look is finished off with an extendable throat with scary sharp teeth to make help justify my Xenomorph parallel.
