ACHIEVEMENT 3 TASK CONTENT ETIQUETTE by @rocknrule111
I am done with achievement 2, now I want to move to achievement 3 which Is talking about content Etiquette. Thanks to my country representative for their support in every achievement post.
What is plagiarism
Plagiarism to me, is a process in which we take data from other peoples article, picture, or research paper and present that work as our own data with our own name and not the name of the owner.
The word plagiarism has come from the Latin word ‘plagiarius,’ which means to kidnap. As the plagiarism definition suggests, when someone uses the work of another artist without properly citing the source or giving credit, then that will be an instance of plagiarism. Plagiarism is a punishable offense, and it is a form of intellectual theft. source
Types of plagiarism
Global plagiarism : Presenting another persons text or picture as your own work.
Paraphrasing plagiarism : rewriting someones ideas without referencing the person who initiated that idea.
Verbatim plagiarism : this happen often, when people copy an entire work belonging to another person and refuses to add citation.
Patchwork plagiarism : compiling text and ideas gotten from different sources, without referencing them.
Incremental plagiarism: using a content from other peoples works in a post without citing .
Self-plagiarism : Reusing your own work, multiple times.
Incorrect citation: sometimes people are used to putting a wrong source in their work which is wrong.
