Friday Flower Power
I love photographing flowers. Maybe it's because their beauty is much easier to capture. They just hang in there, dancing with the wind, occasionally getting visits from butterflies, giving my heart a certain kind of happy feeling I get when I look at something so tiny yet so beautiful.
I don't like receiving flowers plucked from the plants. I feel sorry for the flowers when they wither in the vase. That's why I resort to just taking pictures. I remember when I still go on photowalks, I get home with another set of flower photography folder.
Because why not? When you've lived in the city almost your whole life, finding a plant that blooms fragrant and beautiful flowers is a gem. It's like seeing your crush smile at you in the middle of a stressful day in school. (Now, that is so highschool.) It gives that kind of happy that you could never explain.
I hope to someday plant lots of fowering plants in front of my own house. I've been looking up houses for me and my husband's retirement. I have envisioned it to have a flower garden in front, and a food forest at the back. Too dreamy? I think so. But I don't think that's too much to ask.
These photos were taken using the Oppo phone my husband gave me a few weeks ago. They are the pechay and sweet basil flowers I have in my garden. The first one though was taken along the road when I went out this afternoon to take a walk. I don't know what it's called but it's beautiful so I took a snap.
Happy Friday!
