Daily Celestial Challenge: Sunday/ Light. WHY IS GOD COMPARED WITH THE LIGHT?

In 1 John 1: 5, the apostle tells us that God is light and that there is no darkness in Him. In a symbolic way, John contrasts the LIGHT with the DARKNESS: the light represents the purity, the holy, the just and the good of God, while the darkness represents the condition of corruption, of depravity, of evil, of the sin of men.

Why did John compare God with the Light?

Let's analyze the qualities of light.

1.- The light always travels in a straight line. God is just, his word is straight and God speaks directly, without detours.

2.- The light travels 300 thousand kilometers per second, radiating at full speed any place on which it travels. When you enter your room at night and turn on the light, the whole room is immediately illuminated. God on the other hand is omnipresent, he does not travel like light, he is everywhere and he fills everything in everything.

3.-The light completely dissipates the darkness, there can be no light and darkness at the same time. In the same way where God is, evil moves away. In the spiritual the darkness symbolizes corruption, sin, immorality and absence of God. Their light dissipates them.
