New images of Milky Way blackhole are ‘deepest and sharpest’ ever

Stellar snaps of our galaxy have been captured by astronomers using the Very Large Telescope in Chile (yes, that really is its name).

The striking images were described by the team as the ‘deepest and sharpest’ ever captured, and even revealed a new star around the Milky Way’s supermassive black hole.
