The People of God -- A Great Nation --
Are we all throughout the world the People of God?
The people of God" always indicates a clear relationship that leaves no doubt and that we can clearly find in the Bible:
God called Abraham in Genesis 12 to leave his land for a new one that God would show him. Once Abram was there, God says in Genesis 12:2:
"And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing." This nation would become the nation of Israel, the first group to be designated as the people of God.
God tells the people of Israel through the prophet Isaiah the following:
"And I have put my words in your mouth, and with the shadow of my hand have I covered you, stretching out the heavens and laying the foundations of the earth, and saying to Zion, You are my people" (Isaiah 51:16).
God also confirms Israel as His people in Ezekiel 38:14:
Therefore, prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog, Thus says the Lord God: At that time, when my people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it?
For non-Jewish believers who believe in the Jewish Messiah, in Jesus Christ, can they also be considered as part of the people of God?
The answer is YES!!!
Since Jesus came for the salvation of all humanity, not only to save the people of Israel. Romans 1:16, 10:12; Galatians 3:28:
Romans 1:16
The power of the gospel
Because I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Romans 10:12
Because there is no difference between Jew and Greek, since the same one who is Lord of all, is rich towards all those who invoke him.
Galatians 3:28
There is no longer Jew or Greek; there is neither slave nor free; there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
The people of God identify more with their will to surrender to Him, than by their nationality and it is a real fact that Christ came for the whole of humanity and for its eternal salvation.
David says: "I know, my God, that you search the hearts, and that righteousness pleases you; therefore, with the uprightness of my heart, I have willingly offered you all this, and now I have seen with joy that your people, gathered here now he has freely given for you"- 1 Chronicles 29:17.
The most real Truth of all this is that every person who accepts Jesus Christ as his Savior and his Lord, becomes a part of the people of God, because the simple fact of believing and recognizing and accepting his ordinances, as part of his gospel it is the clear evidence of being and belonging to his people, and not necessarily being born in the people of Israel or in any country, because Jesus does not accept conditions of race or skin color, it is enough just to believe in his miracles and in his real gospel , to be good children of God at all times, of acts and of heart.

This relationship does not come through church attendance or the appearance of good deeds. It is one more decision from the heart, because in the feeling of the spirit is where our hearts weigh and hence the decision to follow God and his mandates, and when we make that decision to embrace God, He embraces us too. Then we are truly His people forever and to eternity. Amen and blessings to all the people of God in the world.
