The Spirit of God  

The Holy Spirit makes Jesus known and glorified; persuade sin, justice and judgment to human beings; and impart new life to those who put their faith in Jesus Christ. He dwells permanently in all believers; and from the same moment that the spiritual birth occurs, he baptizes them to become members of the Body of Christ; and seals them as a guarantee of their eternal salvation.

One day when everyone went to John to be baptized, Jesus was also baptized. And as he prayed, heaven opened, and the Holy Spirit came down on him in the form of a dove. Then there was a voice from heaven saying: "You are my beloved Son; I am very pleased with you. " Luke 3: 21-22 

The Holy Spirit makes Jesus known

He does this by teaching and reminding Christians about the teachings of Christ. Jesus made three promises to his disciples:

He promised that he would be among those always when they met in His name.

He promised that he would not leave them orphans.

He promised to be with them everywhere and at all times.

 
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I assure you that I will be with you always, until the end of the world. Matthew 28: 19-20 

How can all this be possible?

To have the presence of the Holy Spirit is to have the permanent spiritual presence of the risen, ascended and glorified Jesus. The Holy Spirit came, therefore, to take the place of Jesus as the incarnate Word or the Son of God. But the Spirit did not come to replace or displace Jesus. When we say, then, that the Holy Spirit makes Jesus known, we mean that he shows him, that is, that he makes him present in and with us.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the work by means of which the Holy Spirit grants His person permanently to the believer from the moment of conversion. The Holy Spirit comes to dwell in the believer forever. All believers are a temple of the Holy Spirit of God.
