Steemit Engagement Challenge Season s7w4: The era I would like to travel with time machine
Hello friends,
It's a new month and I would like to say happy new month to you all. This is week 4 of Steemit engagement season 7 and am happy am a part of it. I wasn't able to get involved with week 3 because of alot of busy schedules but am glad am done now.
The title of this week's engagement is quite catchy and interesting. Even though technology and science has helped improve life and made it better, I still feel that the old era we had back then had a sense of innocence that we don't find today. Imagine living in an era where your neighbors, brothers and friends are truly happy about your success? Imagine living in the era where leadership was Genuine with genuine leaders and followers unlike what we have presently in my country Nigeria.
I love discoveries and I am naturally an inquisitive person for that reason, the era I would like to visit with the time machine will be the era of early modern age. You will definitely find out my reason for this selection as you read along.
The era of early modern age was between the year A.D 1450- AD 1750. And this era was characterized by the rise of great philosophers like William Shakespeare, great engineers and scientist like Leonard da Vinci.
The writings of Shakespeare is something that still cuts across our generation today. His love literatures are overwhelming. And sincerely, I would like to meet up with him if am giving the chance to see him when I go back to this era. I would want to learn from him about writing generally and use it today especially on steemit.
Leonardo da Vinci was a great engineer. He invented things that were improved upon and those things became so vital today. Take for instance, he invented a big machine that had the ability to fly, today we call it the helicopter. He invented another machine that had ability to add or calculate things, today we call it the calculation.
I would like to visit this era just to find out their style of reasoning that made them do so much exploits in their time so that I can come back and impliment it today in our generation. It can be so helpful and maybe I can invest one machine too or develop an app for writing.
I know traveling alone to the early modern era can be very boring for me so I will not like to travel alone. I love company so I would like to go with two persons and guess what? They are amazing steemians. The first is Mr @ubongudofot and Mr @lhorgic
Am so sure it will be so much interesting traveling with them to this era. My reason is because, Mr ubongudofot is a man of intelligence, and a great thinker just like the great scientist I have mentioned earlier. He will drive the knowledge back to our generation today after he must have learnt all we would learn. He is just perfect for the job. Have you not noticed his many ideas on steemit? His innovative thinking is topnotch.
While my dear friend Mr lhorgic is such an amazing person, he is not selfish so he has the interest of the people at heart. I know he would not keep back the informations that would benefit us today. I also believe since he is good with graphics design, he will help us out while designing our new inventions.
Wow! If I get the chance one thing I would like to bring back is not the machines or innovation. What I would like to bring back especially to Nigeria is the ideas and informations I will get.
Over here in Nigeria, we just keep doing the same thing over and over again. Having the informations and ideas of these great men in their era will atleast help solve alot of problems Nigeria is currently facing. We could use such ideas to build a machine that would be use for our upcoming presidential election.
A machine that can detect false and true election. A machine that can detect the state of heart of a politician. This will enable us know those politicians that has the interest of the citizens at heart and those who are only there for the money. This will really help us stabilize the economy of my country Nigeria.
There is an adage in my language that says teach me how to catch fish than constantly giving me fish to eat. This applies here because instead of bringing back an invention from the era I would visit, I prefer to bring back the ideas and information they knew that made them who they became.
Truly this week's engagement challenge topic has really given me the opportunity to have a re-think about so many things like my country, our way of thinking and the way forward.
It's really going to be fun going back to the early modern era, do you think I would like to come back after my visit? Hahaha well, I can't tell until then.
Thank you for reading, I would like to know what my friends thinks about this topic so I invite them @wilmer1988 @nahela @lhorgic
The adventure will be indeed superb. I can totally relate with your reasons for going back in time.
We have become more sophisticated technology wise but then it tend to have increase the level of decadence we see today.
It's sad to say we prefer then to now...the reverse should be the case. May God help us and may we also be work towards becoming better people.
Amen ooo.
This is really a serious matter and I wish something can be done about our dear country
Hello @ruthjoe, I hope this message finds you well. I just read your post and I must say, I was very intrigued by your thoughts on visiting the early modern era. Your admiration for the great minds of the era, like Shakespeare and Leonardo da Vinci, is truly inspiring. It's amazing how their works continue to impact our lives today, and I can only imagine what it would be like to meet them in person and learn from them.
Your idea of bringing back the ideas and information from the era, rather than just the inventions, is a brilliant one. It shows your understanding that true change and progress come from the collective knowledge and wisdom of a society. Your vision for using this knowledge to improve the political landscape of your country is commendable, and I hope that your dream becomes a reality someday. Keep up the great work!
Regards, @fabiha

If time machine was a reality to me right now, I will adopt your thinking and make it a reality, because you have really thought through this properly I love the fact that you put together such great imagination even without being there. Weldon.
Saludos 🇻🇪👍
