Help 'Mises the Movie' become a reality!
A Movie about Mises?!
I know right! Yesterday someone on the Gold and Black Discord server shared this website with me: http://misesthemovie.com/
Some cool guys in Poland are planning to make a movie about the life of Ludwig von Mises, one of the greatest economists of all time! Unfortunately, Mises isn't commonly known across the world. With this movie that can change, though.
The directors of the movie have already shared what they want to achieve with the movie:
We believe that our movie will be a breakthrough in communicating about Liberty. The main character was a real hero – and he deserves to be shown as such. A fearless intellectual, scientist, teacher and in some sense a social inventor, Mises showed that human action is an important area of study, and that we all need to work to secure the blessings of liberty. But at the same time he was a conscript, refugee, husband, friend. A normal everyday person, somebody like our professor or a neighbor. We want to show that interesting combination, and to stress that in every freedom fighter lies a spark of genius. We hope our movie showing the great character of Ludwig von Mises will inspire others to find and fan their own sparks to spread freedom.
To me, this looks like a great way to spread the message of freedom and liberty across a broader audience. Often we see that us liberty-minded only talk with each other, and don't put in much effort to spread our message. With this movie, this can definitely change.
But they can't do this without our help
The directors estimate they will need a budget of a $100,000 USD to make the movie as best as they can. I know, this is a lot. However, they also have some backup plans, or thresholds. They will make a shorter movie when they reach the $25,000 mark. At $50,000 they will make it longer and more professional, as well as at the $75,000 mark. So, the movie will also become a reality when they don't succeed in gathering the full estimated budget.

This is an excellent opportunity to spread the message of liberty and make more people aware of Austrian economics. In addition, they will send the movie to many prominent politicians, businessmen, and journalists. They will put in a lot of effort to spread the message!
You can contribute to this project with Paypal (international) and Dotpay (for Poland). Someone has already inquired about donations in cryptocurrency, but due to Polish legislation it might not be possible to accept those. Of course you can convert crypto to fiat and donate via Paypal.

It is promising to see the message of liberty bubble up nowadyazs everywhere you look. The more the media, corporate and political left unveil their totalitarian mindset, the stronger the liberty movement will become. Especially more and more young people, gen after millenials (whatever they call em now), make me hopeful. The prefer reason and evidence over social justice and feelings. A movie about Mises would help this overall movement, but it also has to appeal to a younger crowd. Best of luck!

Ludwig von Mises is a hero. His understanding of human action and the stress he placed on its importance to literally everything was fundamental in transforming our understanding of economics and sociology. Praxeology is the bedrock. His study of economics via logical deduction from the simple premise that human beings act to achieve certain goals proved, without doubt, that socialism was absolutely awful.

Yes, exactly. The market is about so much more than just money money money. The market is all human activity combined, and we aren't robots who act according to economic theory. Praxeology is one of the most important aspects of economics.

Speaking of human action, and I know this is kind of off-topic, but I got a guy telling me yesterday that negative externalities are aggression. As in all negative externalities.
Apparently, it's aggression if, given we're neighbors and you hate the color neon green, I were to paint my house neon green.
Well that sounds like complete BS. Of course not all externalities are aggression.
I am on my phone and on the move, but this is definitely a good thing for our cause. 100K isn't really that much either. I will check this out more later today once back to a desktop computer!
