Daily Scripture
Today I would like to look at Luke 9 verse 23 to 25
23)And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
24)For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for My sake, the same shall save it.
25)For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
People are prepared to sacrifice a lot, for things they attach value to. Jesus expects the same dedication from people who follows Him. We must be prepared to
- Deny ourselves
- We must take up our cross daily
- We must follow Jesus
When we follow Jesus, we make Jesus priority in our lives, To take up our cross means we must stop our own selfish ways of doing things, but live for Jesus. To follow Jesus may sometimes put us in uncomfortable situations, but we will not be afraid, as we know we have received eternal life through Jesus. People who only worry about this life, does not have this glorious assurance of eternal life.

Very true.. Thanks for sharing. Jesus died for us once and for all but for us as a follower of Jesus Christ, we take up our cross daily.

You're very correct. This is the cost of being a disciple of Christ. There is a price to pay if we must follow Jesus. It may cost us our lives. But Christianity must cost us something and we must be willing to pay the price.
