From 2014 KUBAFarm tries to produce honey. The honey that we developed is derived from Trigona Itama bee. This bee is not a bee that is commonly used in beekeeping in Indonesia. In general, honey bees used in beekeeping Indonesia is Apis honey bees from Europe, Africa, or native Indonesia that has high productivity.
KUBAFarm develops honey from bees from the genus Trigona commonly known as stingless bee (UK), klanceng (Java), kelulut (Malay). These bees are found in tropical forests of Asia, Australia and South America.

Honey produced so little that not many beekeepers are interested in using these bees. Because rarely used in beekeeping, honey is very rarely found in the market. Itama honey tastes somewhat sour because of the influence of fermentation that occurs in the nest is the process of mixing naturally in the storage pot of honey Nectar (Honey), Powder Flower (Pollen), and Pot Honey made from rezin / sap from the trees (Propolis) this is what makes its efficacy credible over ordinary honey.

This bee is popular for home-based bee ranchers because it has no sting so it is safe for the occupants of the house and can be maintained without the use of special safeguards.
