I got a job...

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is doing great and, hope you still remember me. 😁

It’s been nearly four months since I posted my last article on Steemit. Suddenly, my life completely changed because I got a job after looking for a job opportunity for several months. I really really wanted to get a job in a reputed manufacturing company in my country. Finally, I was able to achieve it.

My first day at work...

It was an immediate vacancy for a business analyst at Antler Group. The first interview was a virtual one because they wanted to hold it the same day they called me. It was not much hard for me since I was always in the mood for interviews those days.

The second one was a physical one so I had to be at the company premises by 8.00 a.m. in the morning. The company is located in a very rural village called Jamburaliya in Piliyandala. I must say, it was such a hard journey for me cuz I had never been there before. But after getting there, I was so impressed by everything about the company. The company was so tidy and clean, well maintained gardens looked so attractive, and the staff was also so friendly.

The Antler group is consisting with main 4 companies. Antler Fabric Printers, Britol Company, Screen Printing Ink Company and Antler IT Solutions company. I was recruited as the Business Analyst for Britol. You all may know the brand Britol or you may have heard it at least once. Britol has a wide range of hygienic products under main 3 categories. There are more than 20 car care products, 45 home care products, and 22 laundry care products.

Anyway, since the company was located far away from my home town, I had to quickly find a suitable boarding place near to my office. Then I had to adapt to that new environment, to my new workplace, and to my new job role. All of these things happened so quickly; my days were so busy trying to understand the business, learning, and helping me grow myself day by day.

I didn’t even feel that now I have worked there for four months. Time flies so quickly. Throughout this very short period, I’ve had a bunch of different experiences, and the next most important thing is, I met this amazing office gang. They are such nice souls.

I know this is only the beginning and I have more to learn as a newbie for the working environment. Hope to explore new knowledge and get a better working experience here.
