What is plagiarism?

In simple words, plagiarism means using someone's personal writing or words as if they were your own.

If we dig too deep -
Plagiarism can be represented as stealing ideas, works, writings, articles, songs, research, or anything else from someone that has been submitted by someone else, using the source as our own without permission, or mentioning it is called plagiarism.

It consists of various details from sources such as Google search engine, Wikipedia, books, articles, blog sites, YouTube, Facebook, various types of media containing content. It is very clear that plagiarism is a type of cheating.
In simple terms, plagiarism is often described as ONE act of victimizing articles, ideas, images, etc. others to create content without acknowledging the author or providing it through the use of citations, thereby pretending to be the author.

Any plagiarism will be considered Theft of concepts, writings and films, etc.

This extraordinary act will occur in a variety of ways. However, let's check

Tips of plagiarism

  • MOSAIC PLAGIARISM
  • PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM
  • COMPLETE PLAGIARISM
  • SELF-PLAGIARISM
  • ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM
  • SOURCE-BASED PLAGIARISM
  • DIRECT PLAGIARISM

MOSAIC PLAGIARISM

This may be unintentional. Perhaps you have read something somewhere and have thought about it until it rings a bell. You read from so many sources and it seems that someone has thought of your ideas. It's your own words but the concept? Not too much. Here's a tip. Whatever you're not sure about, do your research and make things easier for yourself in the long run.

PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM

With this, you pretty much take the creator's ideas and change the words to make them come out like you, knowing full well that you didn't come up with the original idea.

COMPLETE PLAGIARISM

This type of plagiarism occurs when someone attempts to present an entire research paper as their own without proper attribution. Do you think this is bold or stupid? Whatever your opinion, keep in mind that plagiarism detection or checking apps currently exist. Turnitin for one.

SELF-PLAGIARISM

“self-plagiarism occurs you copy your own writing. either intentionally or unintentionally. Oftentimes, people in incidents of self-plagiarism summarize or reuse their own work rather than writing an entirely new piece from scratch on the same topic." Yes!

ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM

“Plagiarism doesn't always happen on purpose. It is still considered plagiarism when someone copies someone else's writing without citing the source, citing sources incorrectly, or accidentally omitting citations. The fact that the omission or misquotation was accidental does not mean that plagiarism was not committed. That is why it is important to verify any work and, when in doubt, give credit to the source.”

SOURCE-BASED PLAGIARISM

“ plagiarism refers to instances. where misleading sources are involved. For example, an author may have two sources of information but only references one. Another form of source-based plagiarism is when an author cites a non-existent or incorrect source.

DIRECT PLAGIARISM

The writing is stolen verbatim and pasted into a new section. The author then tries to provide the content as his own. A word or two can be changed, but this type of plagiarism is too blatant to be considered a paraphrase.

AVOID PLAGIARISM

Avoid repeating any sentence. Make sure you read and understand everything before you start writing.

Check your writing on the plagiarism checker website

The use of citations (references) must be made every time an author imports an article, image or anything related to their writing.

Publications published online must use this citation/reference snippet.
