What will happen to Bitcoin's forks in 2018?
In 2017 Bitcoin’s blockchain survived several forks. Their organizers wanted to solve bitcoin problems with expensive and slow transactions by creating more sophisticated cryptocurrency. Some, like Bitcoin Cash, were able to attract the attention of the crypto-community for some time. However, 2018 showed that Bitcoin copes with its problems much more effectively.
The main advantage of Bitcoin Cash, launched in August 2017, was a cheaper transaction compared to Bitcoin. In December, the cost of the BTC transaction increased to $ 34, but at the beginning of this year it fell by 40 times - and became lower than that of BCC. Other forks of Bitcoin, like Bitcoin Gold and Bitcoin Diamond, also did not show a significant result.
Bitcoin had recaptured the dominance of altcoins, taking up almost 40% of the entire cryptocurrency market. If he continues to solve its problems successfully, then new forks simply will not be needed. And the need for pre-existing forks will become a big question.
