In this post I show some photographs of Honey Bear (Helarctos Malayanus) in Zoo of Simalungun area, North Sumatera Province, Indonesia. My photo was recorded on Friday, March 15, 2018.
As per bulletin board at Zoo site, Honey Bear is included in Mamalia class, Ordo Carnivora, and Ursidae Family. Behavior, active at night, making nests of twigs and leaves. Spend time on ground and climb trees to find food with her partner at night. Sleeping during the day.
Food, fruits, coconut, chocolate, coffee, leaf tips, bird eggs, insects, snails, and others.
Habitats, primary and tropical forests, plantations and timber forests. Its spread, the island of Sumatra, Borneo (Indonesia, Semenanjung Malaysia, South China and Myanmar
Its status, protected by Regulation government Indonesia No.7 & 8 of 1999.
