Hello Steemit Philippines! Here I am again, posting my second blog in this amazing community. I hope that a lot of people will read my post because everyone will definitely relate to this. I have to say, this past week has been a little tough. My work is still great, and every day there, I meet new faces, learn something new, get challenged, have fun, and just continuously grow. However over the past week,on top our daily workload we’ve had additional tasks that we need to finish on a limited time and for some reason, I found myself incredibly stressed over the course of this entire week. Typical employee, same rants right?

In this post I will share a series of my self-care archives to everyone- reminding people that despite the hustles and bustles of life we should neglect our Mental Health and to always practice self-love.

Life is too short and part of maintaining a blissful mind is to wholeheartedly believe in the essence of self-care. I have made it my goal to make as much of an impact on people by promoting Mental Health Awareness, and to make the most out of every day, in a constant effort to realize and take advantage of the once in a lifetime lessons this experience will continue to provide me in helping others appreciate their worth.

Me and my two brothers decided to go SM Seaside to ran errands and of course to unwind. This week was very hectic for me, though initially I was not part of their trip but I decided on the last minute to go with them so that I could relax as a passenger and as their sister. Going to malls is a stress reliever for me, I love to do window shopping and to dine out.

After doing some grocery shopping, me and my brother bought ice cream and I accidentally dropped the cone on my shirt! Luckily I have an extra dress in my car and decided to change. Since it was already past 12 noon, we decided to look for somewhere to eat. SM seaside is a huge establishment! There are plenty of restaurants around the mall. I was craving for japanese food this week so we decided to look for a japanese restaurant. My brother suggested that we eat japanese food in his favorite restaurant. (Matsunoya Japanese Restaurant) so we decided to go
Upon entering the place, we were greeted by red tori gates leading into an open dining area with a service counter at the middle resembling a huge sushi boat. The resto was beautiful with its bright Japanese lanterns hanging overhead and cherry blossom decors sprucing the second level dining hall. For me it has consistent quality and service, the ambiance is pleasant and they strive for that authentic Japanese restaurant environment.

And since we are still in pandemic, only those who were vaccinated are allowed to dine in. Thankfully me and my brother are fully vaccinated so we were able to eat. I'm so happy that I stuffed myself real good with these mouthwatering food. It was definitely a comforting experience!

When we were done eating, we decided to drink something sweet. Part of my self-care activities is consume my daily dose of and just relax and contemplate about life while sipping my favorite Artisanal chocolate freeze from Bo's Coffee. Since I study psychology, I know that when we eat sweet foods the brain's reward system, gets activated. Dopamine which is a happy hormone does its job. So whenever I feel stressed I make sure to treat myself with sweets.

Before we go home, I asked my brothers to go to the skydeck with me. The mall's skydeck has such an awesome view and we can take really good photos there. However I'm different from most people, instead of taking photos of people enjoying the deck. I usually take photos of the sky and admire it silently. My self-love routine is just admiring the little things and Staring at the sky restores my hope in my life. It helps me slow down and gave me a chance to take a deep breath and just appreciate the solace and peace the sky offers me. The serenity and freedom it gives doesn’t need to be paid for.

How about you? What are your self-care stories that you want to share? Comment your thoughts below and see you on my next blog!
