Nuclear Energi

Nuclear potential energy is the potential energy present in the particles within the atomic nucleus.
Nuclear particles such as protons and neutrons are not split in the process of fission and fusion reactions, but their collection has a lower mass than if they were in separate positions. The existence of this mass difference is liberated in the form of heat and radiation in nuclear reactions (heat and radiation have a lost mass, but sometimes released to the system, where it is not measurable). Solar energy is one example of this energy conversion. In the sun, the hydrogen fusion process converts 4 billion tonnes of solar matter per second into electromagnetic energy, which is then radiated into space.
**Nuclear Fission
In general, nuclear energy can be generated through two kinds of mechanisms, namely nuclear division or fission reactions and the incorporation of multiple nuclei through fusion reactions. Here will be discussed one of nuclear energy production mechanism, that is nuclear fission reaction.
A heavy core pounded by particles (eg neutrons) can divide into two lighter nuclei and some other particles. Such a mechanism is called nuclear fission or nuclear fission. An example of a fission reaction is uranium that is pounded (or absorbs) a slow neutron.
The uranium fission reaction as described above produces neutrons other than two lighter nuclei. This neutron can pound (absorbed) back by the uranium nucleus to form the next fission reaction. This mechanism continues to happen in a very fast time forming an uncontrollable chain reaction. As a result, there is a great release of energy in a short time. This mechanism is happening inside a nuclear bomb that produces a powerful explosion. Thus, fission reactions can form an uncontrollable chain reaction that has potentially explosive power potential and can be made in the form of a nuclear bomb.
Nuclear Power Station (NPP) is a thermal power station where the resulting heat is obtained from one or more nuclear power plant reactors. NPPs are included in base load power plants, which can work well when their output power is constant. Power generated per generating unit ranges from 40 MWe to 1000 MWe. The new unit under construction in 2005 has a power of 600-1200 MWe. Until 2005 there were 443 licensed nuclear power plants in the world, with 441 of them operating in 31 different countries. The entire reactor supplies 17% of the world's electricity.
The first nuclear power plant was the EBR-I experimental station on December 20, 1951 near Arco, Idaho, United States. On June 27, 1954, the world's first nuclear power plant to generate electricity for power grids began operations in Obninsk, the Soviet Union. The first commercial scale nuclear power plant was Calder Hall in England which opened on October 17, 1956
In the field of thermodynamics, energy has three shapes and properties. Energy can be in the form of kinetic, potential, and internal. Energy has properties that can be stored, moved, and changed shape. Kinetic energy can be found in moving objects, potential energy is encountered in objects that have elevation to a particular reference, and internal energy is present in bonds between atoms or molecules, electron charges on atoms / molecules, atomic or molecular motions, and so on. Energy can be stored in all three forms, kinetic; eg on a flywheel, potential; eg in certain elevated water, and internal; eg on fuel or chemicals. Energy forms can also be altered between the three forms above: internal-potential kinetic.
