Adventure In Risks

I normally tell people that the life of any successful person can be summed up in these words: "adventure in risks". Nothing worthwhile ever gets achieved without making a move and most times, the move will be a very scary one. One of the major purposes of fear is to prevent you from undertaking risky moves and without taking risks, success may be a mirage.

Until you have done the very thing that scares you the most, you may not gain mastery over fear - this is because "fear" and "risk" can be said to be mutually exclusive. That is, the occurence of one (risk, for example) will strongly negate the occurence of the other (fear).

Each day you wake up, you are already faced with risks you have to take - this is because almost everything about life revolves around risks. Note this: refusal to take risks will open you up to a much bigger risk. So it is in your safest interest to undertake life's risks willingly.

The more you take risks, the more you discover that what you have been afraid of is only a fragment of your imagination that only exists in your mind. Fear, more often than not, is created in the mind. Imagine someone being concerned about the shadows of an object that does not even exist. To be sincere, ignorance is the major ally of fear. Each time you gain more knowledge, you will naturally make more daring moves and thereby gaining mastery over your fears.

Each time you are confronted by fear, just remind yourself that you can overcome it - and then make moves. Remember this, each time you take risks, fears will naturally recede.
