Let Your Mission Drive You

People that have succeeded and have become outstanding in the area of their pursuit have one thing that normally propel them and that is an "unwavering sense of mission".

Succeeding and making head-way in life is dependent on how single-mindedly you have been able to devote yourself to the pursuit of your set goals. Success, more often than not, does not happen by accident but by carefully devoting yourself towards your targeted goal.

Your success level should not be measured on the basis of someone else's standard because it will breed competition mentality. It should rather be measured on how your mission is driving you and if you are fulfilling that particular mission.

If you do not have something to drive you and to steer you up to pursue after success, then your existence is almost futile. Always remember this, the world will not remember you for how many years you were able to live but how well you have spent your life here.

Nigerians will agree with me that twenty naira note has the portrait of Murtala Mohammed on it. Awesomely enough, he just lived 38 years before his death but he rose up to the row echelon and even became a general in the Nigerian army, no wonder he was immortalized in the twenty naira note. This is because he had a sense of mission and he pursued after it.

Living old is very good but it is better when you live well - of course, both of them are attainable. Whatever yours eyes focus on to do, try to give it your best shot and you will be glad you did.
