Valuing Yourself

in #life5 years ago

No two people, no matter how closely they resemble each other, has exactly the same features and purpose - there is always something that differentiates you from someone else and that thing also makes you unique. Believe me, you may not possess what your neighbour possesses but there is at least one thing that you possess that they do not possess. This is why you should place value on yourself.

The value you place on yourself determines how you will work to actualize your purpose and your dreams. Some of the things you are pursuing others for are already embedded within you but you need an indepth search to discover them.

The journey to the actualization of your dream begins with having a dream in the first place and the size of your dream is directly dependent on the amount of value you place on yourself.

If you believe you are giftless, then your gifts will go into hibernation but if you believe that you have something within you that you can offer to the world, then the actualization will be sooner than you even imagine.

If you do not place value on something, you are likely to misuse that thing. In the same way, if you do not place value on yourself, then misuse is also inevitable.

Note this: Placing value on yourself is not pride because you are not overestimating yourself, you are simply appreciating the fact that you are uniquely different and you have something within you that you can use to create positive impact in your world. When you realize this, then the world cannot but celebrate you.
