DIARY GAME: AN INTERESTING VISITATION WITH MY SECONDARY SCHOOLMATE. 20/05/2026.
The most beautiful friendships are the ones where two people grow not always in the same direction but always with room for each other's becoming. A good friend actually tells you the truth not to wound you but because they respect you too much to let you believe a comfortable lie which is completely true. You need two or three who mean it who show up who remember who choose you back.
You might be wondering why I am saying all these things, but if you read it well you will see that I am really making some sense. I am really talking some facts about friends. Today we planned to visit our friend again. We were five friends back then in secondary school. Since we were not in the same class, we kept our friendship mostly during break time, extracurricular activities and when school was over. We are five in number and only four of us are here on Steemit.
You guys will be wondering who we are. This is my friends, so let me list out my friends. @bossj23, @sampson01, @us-andrew, @imohmitch and the one who is not on Steemit, Bright.
In my last post about meeting my friend, I shared how we abandoned our plans for the day and visited him. Today we did that again and it was awesome, although one of us could not make it because he was outside of town for school work. It was me, @us-andrew, @bossj23 and Bright.
Today's visitation was totally interesting and nice. At first we did not plan to visit him, we just went to surprise him. I suggested the visitation to @us-andrew and also insisted on calling @bossj23 to come. I arrived first at his house waiting for him, but he was working on a computer for someone at a barber's shop. I called him he picked up and came back to meet me at the front of his gate.
We waited for about 10 minutes for @us-andrew and @bossj23 to arrive but @us-andrew arrived earlier than @bossj23. When @bossj23 came he brought some snacks for us and also the ludo game. We were very happy simply because he brought something that would make us happy, something the neighbors could hear us enjoying from inside.
So after a little talk, we dive into the ludo game.
You people should really know how ludo game is played, but let me give you some brief knowledge about it.
Ludo is a game for 2 to 4 players with four each button like shape and four different colors like blue green yellow and red. Each player is to pick a color and the goal is to get all 4 button like shape from your home base to the center finish before anyone else. You must roll a 6 with a two dice to bring the button like shape onto the board. From there you move around based on whatever number you roll and rolling a 6 with a dice also gives you an extra turn.
If you land on an opponent's button like shape they get sent back to their home base to start over. Some squares are safe zones though where no capturing is allowed. Once your button like shape complete the full trip around the board they enter your home column and you need the exact number to reach the center. First to get all 4 button like shape home wins. So that is how the game is played.
Bright began the game. He was the first person to roll a six so his token could come out for him to play. We played three rounds in this particular game and we had rules. The rule was that whoever lost had to buy either spaghetti or noodles for everyone. We all agreed and started the game.
The first round, @bossj23 won and Bright was the loser. We started the second round and @bossj23 won again with Bright losing once more. The game was quite interesting because the moments where someone got sent back into the house were really funny.
@us-andrew was busy predicting what number you would roll when you threw the dice, and when you threw it, it would actually be the same number he predicted. But at the last round, @sampson01 won, and that is me, with Bright losing again. @us-andrew then said, "Bright, the one bright both home and away." Only those who bet can understand this.
We played according to the rules but we also contributed money so we could cook together. We bought about five packs of Super Pack Indomie and four eggs, cooked it, enjoyed ourselves, took some pictures and left.
The greatest gift a friend can give you is this: to know every flawed, complicated, unfinished part of you, and stay anyway.
